The crystals of barite are large tubes, and the crystals sometimes come together to form rosette-shaped or bifurcated clumps, which are called crested barites. Pure barite is colorless and transparent, generally white or light yellow, with vitreous luster. Moreover, barite can be used as a white pigment (commonly known as lithopone), and can also be used as a filler in chemicals, paper, and textiles. In glass production, it can act as a flux and increase the brightness of glass. But it is mainly used as a weighting agent in the drilling industry and in the extraction of barium. Barite has large specific gravity (4.3-4.7), low hardness (3-3.5), stable chemical properties, insoluble in water and acid. Barite powder is mainly used in petroleum, chemical, paint, filler and other industrial sectors, of which 80%—90% is used as mud weighting agent in oil drilling.
Barite is brittle and fragile, so in the crushing process, we recommend using a jaw crusher to avoid generating a large amount of fine ore. The raw ore can get better crushing effect after passing through a jaw crusher.
The crushed barite small pieces are sent to the silo by the elevator, and then sent to the grinding chamber of the mill evenly and quantitatively by the vibrating feeder for grinding.
The pulverized material is classified by the powder separator, and the unqualified powder is classified by the powder separator and then returned to the main engine for re-grinding.
The powder that meets the fineness enters the dust collector through the pipeline with the airflow for separation and collection, and the collected finished powder is sent to the finished product silo by the conveying device through the discharge port, and then is uniformly packed by a powder tanker or an automatic baler.
